Here's an answer to an inquiry on how to configure the Buffer Size settings in ASIO4ALL control panel: i use Asio4all for my desktop, using SB16 soundcard. Anyway, what I did para to get the optimal Buffer Size (Samples) that my pc could attain... I started from putting the level in the middle, then while pressing/playing a note repeatedly on the Midi keyboard (you will notice the delay in sound response due to latency ....) now decrease the Buffer size until you reach that part where there is minimal or better yet when latency can no longer be noticed. once you exceed the minimum number of buffer size you will hear clicks and glitches while playing the note... at that point increase the buffer size level until the clicks and glitches are gone There you have it.. your Buffer size level. demolee ANOTHER POST FROM CHUCK:my audiophile has preset buffer settings, when i'm tracking i set it to the lowest, when it staggers under the load i bump it back up...also during mixdown i can do with a higher buffer setting chuck
